Gem Canada George V circulation silver dollar minted to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Reign of King George V. Well struck with nice original luster. Light contact marks and scratches are present commensurate with grade. Acquired: 2019 on eBay.
Composition: 80% silver. Weight: 23.3276 grams. Diameter: 36.06 mm. Thickness: 2.84 mm. Edge: Reeded. Mintage: 428,707. Obverse: The portrait in left profile of George V is surrounded with the inscription "GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR ANNO REGNI XXV" (George V, King and Emperor, 25th year of reign). Reverse: A voyageur and an aboriginal travelling by canoe, carrying bundles of which one bears the initials "H.B." for Hudson's Bay Company, are surrounded with the facial value and the inscription "CANADA".
