Circulation strike mintage 2,552,000

Very attractive strikes with a satiny finish were easy to find.This example is a satiny, white coin with very smooth textured surface. Very well struck for the year/mintmark which varies from being very sharp to dismally soft. In the examples I've seen, toning is common, and admittedly, quite attractive; but I prefer the frosty blast white coins with that satiny skin. This coin definitely fits the bill !

On the obverse: Full head and skirt lines, with only minor superficial contact marks on the upper skirt.

On the reverse: The Eagle's breast and left leg feathers are brilliant except for some minor scuff marks.
