Owner Comments:

Circulation strike mintage 952,000

The entire design and surfaces on the obverse and reverse show signs of wear but with the reverse showing significantly more wear in area of interest than on the obverse. The high parts of the design on the obverse have lost their sharpness (becoming more rounded at Liberty's head),and most of the original mint luster has been worn away except for very recessed areas on the obverse particularly between letters. The reverse has more significantly worn areas at the high points of the design (i.e. Eagle's breast) which has a flattened appearance. However, in general, the obverse and reverse surfaces are attractive and free of serious blemishes, scratches and erosions.

This date/mintmark is one of the key dates among early Liberty Walkers. I found high grade examples difficult to locate and the ones I saw in mint state were very expensive. This coin in hand has very good eye appeal for the grade.
