Circulation strike mintage 8,098,000
The 1941-S is the key date to the short set (1941-1947) and, because of this fact, logic would say that finding a sharp strike of this year/mintage of this issue would be difficult. However, I had a relatively easy time finding a good example of this coin with a fairly good strike, original luster and very good eye appeal.
That being said, looking under 7x magnification, the obverse surfaces are pretty well abraded with contact marks and a noticeable patch of hairlines. Miss Liberty's head has nearly 100% full detail, the left hand is 60% full detail and the skirt-lines are 90% full.
On the reverse, the Eagle's breast feathers have scuff marks, with the left leg feathers few in number and somewhat flat with a few contact marks on that left leg.
