Circulation Strike Mintage 2,392,000

As with many coins in this series, striking quality seems to vary tremendously from year to year and mint to mint.

This example showed only very light wear and, even then, only at the highest points. Notable mint luster in parts are obvious on both the obverse and reverse, but mainly in protected areas between letters. Cherrypicking paid off as most of the design details are sharp and show clearly.

In examination of the obverse, the key areas were very pleasing with 70%+ of head details and approximately 50% of left hand details present. Almost all of the gown lines were clearly visible as is the breast outline. Unfortunately there were two distracting gashes in Liberty's right outstretched arm, but even given this, the pros outweighed the cons.

On the reverse, the highest points of the Eagle are lightly worn and there were a few very small flat spots on the breast and legs. My coin is not an exception in the regard that, of the examples I've seen, the Eagle's left leg is somewhat flat with few feathers.
