Circulation strike mintage 765,400

This is another example of a well circulated coin, being very worn in the highest points of the coin's detail approaching the coin's surface. The outline of areas of interest (highest aspects of the detail) including Liberty's head and skirt on the obverse are somewhat visible (in outline only), but lack detail such as Miss Liberty's entire left hand and the central area of her head (i.e. approximately 50-60% still can be seen of Miss Liberty's head). The word "LIBERTY" on the obverse is mostly worn away. The wreath outline can be seen, but central detail is missing. On the reverse, the outline of the Eagle's breast can be appreciated, but the feathers on the breast and left leg cannot.

Mint State flat rimmed versions of the 1917 coin minted in Denver typically have a satiny finish (as opposed to the matte finish in that year)
