Circulation strike mintage 1,552,000

The Mint State of the 1919-S is widely considered to be the key to the Walking Liberty Series and one of the most expensive to acquire. Even at VF-30, this example was pricey. In general, my reading revealed that sharpness varies widely among the coins of this year/mintmark.

In this circulated example, there is moderate wear, slightly more apparent on the reverse. The outline from Miss Liberty's knee to the ankle, and lines on her gown, are visible but weak. Liberty's knee is flat. The outline of the breast is visible.

On the reverse, the rims are flattened out in areas, exposing the minor details to wear. The Eagle's breast and legs are worn but one can make out a slight separation between them.
