In 2019, I dedicated this coin to the 75th Anniversary to those who gave their service and lives in devotion to their country on D-day June 6,1944 so that we all could remain safe. We live in the land of the free because of those men and women who lived in the home of the brave.
Circulation strike mintage 28,206,000
With plenty to choose from, finding a well struck example in mint state was relatively easy.
This blast white coin has average luster (as compared to other MS-63s) with attractive eye appeal.
On the obverse, there are a few light scattered contact marks in the field, and minor marks on the upper skirt of Miss Liberty.
On the reverse, the fields are smooth with one very small distracting dark spot in the center of the Eagle's breast.
The strike in this example is fantastically sharp, falling just shy of complete head details on the obverse, and most of the feathers on the eagle's left leg on the reverse.
