Circulation strike mintage 13,450,000

Finding a nice 1943-S was challenging in that most I examined lacked detail in key/focal areas. But I must have been lucky in my search -- cherrypicking yielded dividends in this example with a sharp strike, white original mint luster and overall attractive eye appeal.

On the obverse, Liberty's head had 90% of design details and left hand 50%. Some light contact marks are seen on Miss Liberty's upper skirt.

On the reverse, less than 50% of the Eagle's left leg feathers were present and the Eagle's neck and breast feathers had minor scuff marks.
