Owner Comments:
The Eisenhower dollar, aka Ike dollar, was approved by Congress in 1970 after the former president died in 1969. It depicts the Apollo 11 moon landing on the reverse which also occurred in 1969. The Ike dollar was the first dollar coin to circulate since the 1935 Peace dollar.
This beautiful MS67 example has tremendous luster and is CAC approved. NGC graded only a pair of clad Ike dollars finer in MS67+.
