This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM.

Obverse III2 4 – 8 re-punched over 7 in date with original 7 punched high. Prominent ears show above 8, crossbar in the upper loop, stem on right side of the lower loop, dash below the bottom of 8 and lower serif of 7 on the surface of the left side of the upper loop as a checkmark. The first 8 doubled at the top inside of the lower loop. The second 8 tripled at lower left outside of the upper loop. Tops of U-U-UNUM doubled towards the rim. Short die gouge from the right side of first U in UNUM.
Reverse C3c – Normal die of C3 type with slanted arrow feathers and small II CC mint mark with a slight tilt to the right. Vertical die gouge between arrow feathers and olive branch.
