This coin is tied as the finest graded 1862-S double eagle from the SS Brother Jonathan. This coin has incredible eye appeal with very few abrasions, no detracting marks and excellent detail. The other MS61 BroJo coin has significant scratches/gouges on both the obverse and reverse making this example undoubtedly one of the nicest 1862-S twenties from the shipwreck.
