Quoting Heritage Auctions' description for this piece: "Although some degree of field reflectivity is normal for many three dollar gold issues, relatively few 1874 coins are designated Prooflike by NGC. This Select coin is tied with one other as the finest of 33 Prooflike pieces at that service (9/17). The devices are well-struck, and the grade reflects only light handling marks on the obverse. Bright yellow-gold luster adorns each side."
