Cameo Availability:
The 1953 is an early year coin with many of the same issues as the other 1950 through 1954 dates. Hairlines, contact marks, glue spots, haze and very unattractive toning is found on many coins. I have seen many cameos that would otherwise be outstanding coins that have very unattractive toning. Fortunately, there is a substantially larger population of cameos than the first few years and many are of better quality than the first few years. So, it is much more likely to find coins with deep mirror fields and strong cameo contrast than earlier years. One will probably have to take some time but good coins do come around from time to time.

This Coin:
This coin is pure white with no toning, has clean deep fields and strong cameo (obv: ucam-, rev: cameo+). This coin is very attractive. It took some time to find. I went through a number of PR66CAM coins but was not satisfied with the quality of the ones I saw. When I came across this PR67CAM, the quality was so good that I went for the higher grade.
