Owner Comments:
The only $5 gold commemorative in 2015 was issued to honor the 225th anniversary of the Marshals Service as the country's first federal law enforcement agency. The coin's obverse features the U.S. Marshal Service star, with a silhouette in the background of a mountain range. The reverse of the coin features a leftward-facing bald eagle behind a shield (looks like a badge) that reads "U.S. Marshal."
A small lot of 6,743 uncirculated and 24,959 proof coins produced by the West Point Mint. The MS70 (under 200) and PF70 graded coins (under 300) are very difficult to find. With such low mintage numbers, this just may be another 'sleeper' key in this coin series.
