Owner Comments:

The second commemorative released in 2015 was the March of Dimes Silver Dollar, issued to mark the 75th anniversary of the March of Dimes Foundation. The coin's obverse features the profile portraits of President Franklin D. Roosevelt (who was afflicted by polio) and Dr. Jonas Salk (who developed one of the first polio vaccines). The reverse of the coin features an image of a newborn held in the hand of a parent.

There was a small mintage of 24,742 uncirculated and 132,030 proof coins produced by the Philadelphia Mint. Despite the small mintage, the MS70 graded dollars are in good supply. There are more than 4,000 NGC PF70 graded dollars, so they are very easy to find in perfect PF70 condition.
