Owner Comments:
Three commemorative dollars were issued in 1991. The third dollar commemorates the 50th anniversary of the United Service Organization (the "USO"). The obverse of the coin features the inscription "50th Anniversary" an image of a banner with the letters USO. Personally, I find this to be one of the least exciting designs of the entire commemorative dollar series. The reverse features an American Eagle perched on top of a globe with the inscription "Fifty Years Service - To Service People." There were 124,958 uncirculated coins produced by the Denver Mint and 321,275 proof coins produced by the San Francisco Mint. These dollars are easy to find in perfect MS70 condition, but are very difficult to find in perfect PF70 condition.
