Owner Comments:

The second commemorative dollar released in 2017 was the Boys Town Centennial silver dollar, issued honor Father Edward Flanagan and home for boys (Boys Town). The obverse of the coin features an image of a sitting girl (the organization serves at-risk youth and not just boys) gazing upwards into the branches of a tree... is if looking for help. The reverse of the coin features a group of children holding hands underneath the outstretched branches of a large oak tree. There is an inscription that reads "...you write the history of tomorrow."

There was a super small mintage of 12,256 uncirculated and 31,644 proof coins produced by the Philadelphia Mint. The production of the MS coins set an all-time low record in the Modern Commerative era through this date and this coin is difficult to find in MS70 condition. The pop report for perfect PF70 graded coins is even lower. Years from now, this may become a key coin.
