Even though I am a Christian, I really like the "No Motto" St. Gaudens (ASG) gold eagles better than those with "Motto". I think it is closer to what ASG intended the coins to look like. St. Gaudens died just prior to the release of his beautiful coins so we have to guess what he would have thought. Though from the Burdett trilogy it seems he was in agreement with Roosevelt on this matter.
