Golden highlights visit the bronzelike, bluish-brown toning of this sharply struck half. Strong mint luster remains beneath the rich, original patina. Although it is a readily available variety in lesser grades, the O-101 is scarce in the upper Uncirculated grades. Both the Herrman and Parsley Condition Census listings include MS63 coins at the lower end of the Census. This pleasing Select coin is housed in an early pre-barcode NGC holder with the mint-green label, endorsed by CAC.
