Owner Comments:
After a 34-year hiatus Gold Eagles were produced again beginning in 1838. This design was the Liberty Head and was minted without a Motto till 1866 like the Half Eagle. This type can be a bit challenging. This coin is a very nice AU58 example exhibiting a nice strike, good color and surfaces, and hints of remaining mint luster.
