1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1879 MS64+ DMPL PCGS. Population: 2 in 64+, 6 in 65 (4/16). This Deep Mirror Prooflike dollar displays stark white-on-black cameo contrast and sharp, frosty design elements. The mirrored fields show scattered light marks that preclude a Gem grade, but the eye appeal is nonetheless pleasing. Hints of light golden toning appear around the extreme outer peripheries. The 1878 7TF Reverse of 1879 dollar is seldom seen this fine in DMPL. (Registry values: P5, N1793) (NGC ID# 253L, PCGS# 97077)
