Owner Comments:

Until 1864 these cents were made of 88% copper 12% nickel, changing to 95%copper 5% zinc, after, this civil war era nickel type is so close to being a gem, it has an outstanding strike, especially for the type, great luster and surfaces, it does have a small black toning mark on the bottom tip of the fourth feather from the top, I assume this mark has prevented the coin from a full 65 grade.
