When the dragon 1oz was released the demand for physical silver was relatively extreme high. The coin with a mintage of 300,000 was sold out within hours worldwide and the prices climbed to over 100$ for raw coins.
This speculative buying burned a lot of buyers and in the years after 2012 the lunar II Dragon coin was sold for less than the 2009 ox and 2010 tiger.
