1864-S $20 NGC MS61 SS Brother Jonathan 2000.
This coin was recovered from the SS Brother Jonathan, which was lost at sea off the coast of northern California in 1865. The “2000” on the label indicates that this coin was recovered in 2000, which was the last authorized dive to recover coins from the shipwreck. During final dive operations, 38 coins certified by NGC were recovered including this mint state example.
