The 1936 P is not as rare as the preceding Philly coins of 1935 & 1934 and also not as rare as the 1938 P coin. It is, however, scarcer than the 1939 & 1940 P coins. Luster is usually blazing and surface preservation varies from excellent to below average but on average, in the broader range of the entire series, it is decent and usually minimally abraded. Colorful toning is very rare for the issue and toning tends to be light and iridescent when it exists. MS 66s and 67s are scarce but not very rare in an absolute sense. Only a few MS 68s exist and these are decidedly rare.

V 102 distorted hub doubling of date
V 103 doubled obverse die shows on date
V 104 doubled obverse die shows on motto and Liberty
V 105 die crack through T and R in TRUST
V 106 shifted half dollar and E pluribus Unum East
V 107 doubled obverse die. Unclear if it matches the other two Wexler examples.
The current example is of the highest quality in that it has a needle-sharp strike in all areas, blazing, headlight luster and it is almost completely mark-free. It is pure white and it is CAC green stickered for premium quality eye appeal.
