This 26.9568 grams, .900 Ag, 39mm, Great Britain Trade Dollar was engraved by George William de Saulleshad and had a mintage of 10,400,000 at the Bombay Mint in India. This coin has a low NGC population of 409. The obverse of this coin depicts a standing left facing Britannia with merchant ship in background, the date at bottom center and the denomination encircling at top. The reverse of this coin features Chinese characters and Arabic script in an ornamental flower. This coin was demonetized on 8/01/1937. Note: this coin is often found with chop marks which do not detract from the value.
