Light golden toning heavier near the rims but absent from the bust and the bell. Exceptional cartwheel luster. Strong strike typical of many 1948 halves with a clear "Pass and Stow" and strong, full, easily seen bell lines. Population 399/8/0. Mintage 3,006,814
