Seller description:
1880-CC $1 8 Over Low 7, VAM-6, MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. Population: 7 in 65 Deep Mirror Prooflike, 1 finer (6/15). A Top 100 Variety. The diagnostics listed by www.vamworld.com are clearly displayed on this straw-gold Gem. The 8 repunched over the 7 shows strongly. The mintmark confirms with a dot of metal within each C, and the eagle's left wing shows a bold polishing line through the bottom wing junction. The portrait is unblemished, frosted and smooth, and the strike is exceptionally bold on Liberty's hair. Ex: The Collection of Edwin J. Mantooth Bowers. (Variety PCGS# 41136, Base PCGS# 97105)
