Below average luster which is the norm for a '49-D. Good strike particularly with the lower bell lines which are bold and deep. Golden toning on the obverse with medium to dark russet toning on the reverse which is somewhat distracting. I plan to replace this coin when and if I find a MS66FBL piece. Population 89/9/0.
