Owner Comments:

Outstanding Jefferson pre-war nickel with super luster and very strong strike. Monticello includes 3 full steps, 2 2/3 steps and about 1/4 of the 6th step. Both sides exhibit interesting rainbow toning: obverse is pinkish-purple and light gold at center with mostly blue fields and red and (mostly) yellow along rims; reverse is purple at center with mostly blue fields and blue, yellow and (mostly) red along rims. Only external damage appears to be some very light contact marks and scratches commensurate with grade. Cost: $23.29 on 6/16/15 on eBay from Ron Guth (ricko6791).
