This 15.591 grams, .999 Ag, 36.60mm, Tuvalu 50c coin was designed by Ing Ing Jong, had a very low maximum mintage of just 6,000 and has a very low NGC population of just 57. The obverse of this coin depicts a colored elephant calf locking trunks with its mother surrounded by jungle palms. The inscription ASIAN ELEPHANT and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appear in the obverse design. The reverse of this coin features the bust of Queen Elizabeth II facing right with the weight, fineness, date and denomination encircling.
