Shenyang Mint

The 1991 panda coins were stuck in both proof and BU quality. The proof coin included a “P” mark on the panda side of the coin to denote the proof quality. The BU coin had 2 varieties – small and large dates. The small date was issued at the Shenyang mint, the large date at the Shanghai mint and the proof at the China Mint Company. The small date utilized a “plain” 1 while the large date utilized a “serif” style 1.

Mintage was 100,000 BU in total and only 20,000 Proof.
