NGC US Coin Census for Braided Hair Half Cents (1840-1857)

Owner Comments:

The last of the 1/2 cent type coins, the Braided Hair Half-Cent, was minted from 1840-1857. This 1855 Braided Hair cent while brown has hints of red throughout, nice surfaces but a weaker strike, as evident by a couple of the stars that are a bit weak, would seem to be PQ for the grade though.
