Beautifully contrasted 1898-S $1 MS64+ Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. Population: 1 in 64+ Deep Mirror Prooflike, 7 finer (7/14). Few 1898-S Morgan dollars exhibit prooflike surfaces, and even fewer can boast of a Deep Mirror Prooflike designation. This remarkably contrasted example features golden-brown toning at the borders that blend to fully brilliant interiors. The thickly frosted devices are well-struck with trivial incompleteness at the centers. (Registry values: P5, N1793) (NGC ID# 256A, PCGS# 97257).
