I believe this nickel to be part of the Appalacian Hoard Nickels based on the color patterns and the NGC number which is 291281-XXX. The controversy surrounding these coins still rages as to whether they are NT (natural toned) or AT (artificially toned).
No matter to me what the toning is; they are beautifull coins.
My take on this particular coin is that it is at best an MS66 which has been market graded to an MS67. This is based on the hits that show on the coin in bright light under the toning. Still this is a spectacular coin and imho would recieve the 5FS (fullsteps) designation if resubmitted today.
