A full gem DMPL with almost flawless deep deep reflective fields, full check and frosted devices. This Morgan is as at the top of her grade, very close to 66 status. Wayne Miller quotes from his Textbook that the 1899 is elusive in fully prooflike condition and demands a significant premium in full prooflike condition(DPL). I would consider this one to be of the few he was talking about. This is a Van 1 normal die type with open 9 obverse with normal reverse. Purchased from Teletrade auction 1968 Lot 1842 12/04 Population Report PCGS 50/13
