Seller description:
1879 Needle-Sharp Cameo $1 MS66 Prooflike PCGS. This coin is one of only two MS66 Gem Prooflike examples certified with none numerically finer (5/14) and is the PCGS Coin Facts plate coin for the PL issue. The 1879 Morgan is an available issue through the MS65 grade level, but Prooflike pieces are elusive in the finer Mint State grades. The frosty devices are struck to full definition, delivering pleasing contrast with the mirrored fields. While virtually untoned and beautifully preserved, a single small tick near Liberty's ear seems to be all that precludes a higher PCGS grade designation.
