Popular New Orleans Issue. 1903-O $1 PCGS MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike. PCGS Population: 11 in 65 Deep Mirror Prooflike, 4 finer (5/14). Once valued higher than the 1889-CC, the 1903-O Morgan ceased to be a rarity in an absolute sense in the early 1960s, when numerous bags of Mint State examples were discovered in long-sealed Treasury vaults. Still, Deep Mirror Prooflike pieces are scarcely seen in any grade and are downright rare at the Gem level. This coin is fully brilliant, with dazzling reflectivity in the fields and rich, satiny luster over the devices. A single cut is noted near the eagle's right wing, though it is minor and well-hidden, and each side displays above-average design definition for an O-mint issue.
