Seller description:
Sharply Struck 1890-CC $1 MS65 Prooflike PCGS. PCGS population 22 in MS65 Prooflike, one finer. Despite the high mintage exceeding 2.3 million pieces, the largest in the Carson City series, 1890-CC Morgan dollars are not common in the better levels of Mint State. Prooflike examples are especially rare. This Gem has brilliant silver-gray surfaces with frosty devices that stand out against the mirrored fields. Sharply struck throughout, including the hair over Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers, areas that normally come weak on this issue. A couple of reeding marks on Liberty's upper cheek and four more in the left reverse field will help to pedigree this piece. Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 11/2007), lot 1230. From The Brian Loncar Collection, Part II.(Registry values: P5, N2998) (NGC ID# 255D, PCGS# 7199)
