Gorgeous Great Britain silver Edward VII maundy groat (fourpence) with great original luster, prooflike fields, and strong strike. Almost entire coin is bathed in beautiful red, purple, gold, pink, and yellow toning. A few very light contact marks and scratches are present commensurate with grade. Cost: $52.52 on 4/25/14 on eBay from Meridian Coin / DC Corp (meridiancoin).
Composition: 92.5% silver. Weight: 1.8851 grams. Mintage: 11,000.
Orientation: Medal alignment. Series Identifier: KM#796 (1902 - 1910).
Obverse: Edward VII head facing right. Reverse: Crowned denomination divides date within oak wreath.
