This was part of a 2005 Mint Set that I was going to build, but I decided to focus on other things. This was such a nice specimen that I decided to hold onto it.
On February 14, 1859, my Oregon became the 33rd state to be admitted into the Union.
Oregon’s quarter was the third quarter to be released in 2005 and is the 33rd in the series. Its coin design features Crater Lake. Crater Lake sits in the crater of an extinct volcano, Mt Mazama. It is 1,949 feet deep, making it the deepest lake in the United States and the seventh deepest in the world! It is the most amazing color of blue you’ll ever see! We got it all here! I love my Oregon!

This was part of a 2005 Mint Set that I was going to build, but I decided to focus on other things. This was such a nice specimen that I decided to hold onto it.
On May 11, 1858, Minnesota became the 32nd state admitted into the Union.
The Minnesota quarter was the second one to be released in 2005 - - 32nd in the series. The quarter presents a view of the incredible natural beauty of the State: forest-lined shores, people fishing, a loon on the water – the state bird.
The inscription, “Land of 10,000 Lakes" is just a bit of an understatement, bein’s that there are over 15,000 bodies of water in the State!
