Minted by the US Mint under the supervision of the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission (ARBC) in 1974 this silver proof version has an ultra-cameo finish and is graded PF 69 UC which makes it a "Top Pop".

The medal depicts Paul Revere on the obverse, with a patriot holding a rifle, symbolic of the Battles of Lexington & Concord, on the reverse. This medal was designed by Margaret Grigor.

GASPARRO NGC PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO In addition to the 1976 Declaration of Independence medal featuring Jefferson, the ARBC tasked US Mint Chief Engraver Frank Gasparro with creating the National Bicentennial Medal. The obverse depicted the Statue of Liberty with the inscription "LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS", along with dual dates 1776-1976. For the reverse, Gasparro offered his rendition of an Amercian eagle and the Great Seal with the inscription "AMERICAN REVOLUTION BICENTENNIAL" and "WE THE PEOPLE"

These medals came in 7 different formats including: bronze, silver, and gold-plated versions in the 38mm size, a silver matte finish measuring 76mm (3 inches), and solid gold in 23mm, 34mm, & 76mm.

Minted by the US Mint under the supervision of the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission (ARBC) in 1976 this silver proof version has an ultra-cameo finish and is graded PF 69 UC which makes it a "Top Pop". It is also one of 209,885 sold in this size and medal.

These committees were formed prior to the Continental Congress in 1774, and their members shared information among themselves regarding such things as British military movements and various espionage.

The bronze specimen featured George Washington on the obverse and the Sons of Liberty tree on the reverse. Washingtons portrait is based on sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon's famous bust, commonly seen on the present-day quarter. (The Sons of Liberty were an early group of patriots said to be responsible for the Boston Tea Party in 1773. The tree is symbolic as an early meeting place of the group, and as a site where local grievances were addressed.)

This bronze medal is undated, came in PNC packaging (Philatelic-Numismatic Combinations), achieved a Top Pop grade of MS 68, and is sealed in the original US Mint "soft pack" with a white plastic token.

This design features a bust of John Adams. During the revolution, Adams was a delegate of the Continental Congree, helped draft the Declaration of Independence, was Minister to France, and later signed the Paris Peace Treaty of 1783 that formally ended the War for Independence. The reverse paid tribute to the First Continental Congress of 1774-75, of which Adams was a member. It was designed by Robert A. Weinman, president of the National Sculpture Society and the son of Adolph A. Weinman, who designed the Mercury dime and Walking Liberty half dollar.
