This is one of those coins where I feel the reverse design outshines the obverse. I feel the reverse is unique in that it almost resembles a law-enforcement badge.

There’s something I’ve always loved about the obverse design of this coin. I’m not sure if it’s because it has a majestic, almost three-dimensional quality or perhaps because it is somewhat reminiscent of the Columbia Pictures logo, but I often find myself staring at it. One of my favorite obverses.

I rather like the reverse design of this Olympic coin better than the obverse. While I like the classic LA84 Olympic logo, the discus thrower image doesn’t really engage me.
