Humphrey's Bio
Born September 1974 in the city of Pietermaritzburg South Africa. When I was young I was raised by my grandparents and they used to tell me stories of the past. When I held a coin I used to ask my grandparents to tell me a story about it. Thereafter, I would take that coin and store it in a jewellery box and hid it where no one could find it. Numismatic passion commenced and chronicles produced results.

I believe that the more you know about the past, the better you are prepared for the future. South Africa has a rich history and its history can be told in a coin, from 1874 President Burgers Pond to 2000 President Mandela 5 Rand and so on.

I collect mostly South African coins. What drives my passion is owning that rare piece, that finest grade and completing a set.
