Owner Comments:
This National Commemorative Medal was struck at the Philadelphia Mint with the “P” mint mark. Medals were sold by the Golden Spike Centennial Celebration Commission to commemorate the centennial of the completion of the first transcontinental railroad. 33mm bronze medals were produced as well as larger bronze and silver. No 33mm silver medals were produced.
