These tokens were privately minted for use in 1964 in the Nevada Gaming Casinos. This token is pedigreed to the Lincoln Fitzgerald Collection and is part of the Nevada Club Reno Hoard. I remember fondly playing at the old Nevada Club. The shiney chrome mechanical slot machines, the 50s style diner and even the sound of coins falling into the trays are all on my mind as I type this. This was a time before Tito, the "ticket in ticket out" style of gaming prevalent today. I could sit and play nickels and check out the dates and mintmarks on the reverse, all the while sipping on the free drinks provided generously by the staff. When I got tired of playing, a 99 cent breakfast awaited in the diner, 24 hours a day. Memories. (No photo taken yet, sorry)
