During World War II my father serverd in the U.S. Army, in the Pacific, and was an eye witness to the Battle of Manila (February 3, 1945 - March 3, 1945) The photographs on this page were taken by by father immediately after the battle.

The first photograph shows Malacanan Palace, the seat of government for the Commonwealth of the Philippines. The second photo shows my father in front of Malacanan Palace.
