Eric P Newman, Ex Col Green. Just a touch of color not quite the usual Newman specimen but still I think quite attractive. The coins with this pedigree sold for a remarkable premium as a rule. There were some bargains to be had especially if you are aware of the rare varieties in the various series'. I certainly paid too much for this if it were just a run of the mill 1889–CC, but then again it is not.
