Owner Comments:

1955-D. Breen 4374. A semi-key date growing rapidly in popularity. 1955-D quarters are typically nondistinct, due to the worn master hubs and the lack of quality control at the mint during the mid fifties. This is a very tough date in MS-66 or better, and most of those you will find certified by either NGC or PCGS have achieved that grade due to superlative color or toning. This coin is gunmetal blue, magenta, amber and red, and appears to have spent some time in an old Wayte Raymond album or perhaps in mint set cardboard. Very, very attractive. I found this coin raw at a coin show in Fremont, Nebraska, in June of 2004. Purchased for $7.50. Gorgeous!
